Breaking Barriers

The Breaking Barriers in Education integrated learning experience at VIU was an opportunity for us, future teachers, to take ownership of our learning. In small learning pods and with the support of a VIU instructor acting as a mentor, we explored inclusiveness/learning differences, social justice and governance using inquiry-based learning, book club, Pro-D workshops, individual reflective journaling and community action. The following word-cloud synthesizes the main ideas that I gathered from this semester of integrated learning.
