Dear Grade 6/7 families,
Welcome to our class' website. I am thrilled to teach Grade 6/7 this year: we will have an amazing year together! This website is one of the ways that I will use to communicate useful information to parents this year.
This website is only for general and public information. A monthly blog update will inform you of the main learning outcomes for the month and current projects that we are working on. Other useful information pertaining to classroom management and special activities will be added as needed. To communicate your child's work and progress with you, I will use a portfolio to share samples of learning, with feedback and student's self-reflections. The portfolio will go home every few months throughout the school year. There will also be 2 report cards: a progress report (usually sent home early February) and a summary of learning (June). I will also communicate with you as needed through emails, phone calls, and meetings.
